Shipping. The main feature has been the replacement of sailing-vessels loading for San Francisco by steamers bound for Europe. The figures in detail are set out in the acccompanying tables. Port Facilities. —Improvements effected during the year include the installation of an " Aga " light as a leading-light on Vaea Hill, and the laying-down of an Admiralty-type buoy at the mail-boat moorings.
