No. 110.—Petition of C. F. Pearce and 54 Others. Praying that legislation be not passed enabling companies to repay guarantors of the New Zealand Meat-packing and Bacon Company (Limited) out of company's funds. I have the honour to report that the above-mentioned petition has been carefully considered, and that, as the Committee is of opinion that the amendments made in the Companies Special Empowering Bill meet the objections of the petitioners, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 28th August, 1923.
Final Report. I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee, consisting of eleven members, has held seven meetings during the; session, the average attendance being seven members at each meeting. Seven Bills and one petition were referred to the Committee, all of which were considered and reported upon. 28th August, 1923.
