REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION ON PETITION No. 388/1915, RELATIVE TO SUCCESSION TO INTERESTS OF NEHEMAIA, TARAITI, AND TE RAEWHANAKE (ALL DECEASED) IN WHANGAPE No. 07 BLOCK.

Presented to both Houses of the General Assembly in pursuance of Section 25 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1917.

Office of the Native Land Court, Auckland, 12th September, 1921. Re Whemgape Lot 67.—Petition 388 of 1915. Enclosed herewith is the Court's report. I recommend that no further action be taken in the matter. The Hon. Native Minister, Wellington. R. N. Jones, Chief Judge. In the Native Land Court of New Zealand, Waikato-Maniapoto District.—ln the matter of section 25 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Adjustment Act, 1917, and of a reference to the Native Land Court for an inquiry and report regarding succession re Nehemaia and others in the Whangape 67 Block (Petition 388 of 1915). This matter came on for hearing at Ngaruawahia, before Robert Noble Jones, Chief Judge, on the 2nd September, 1921, when Roka Hopere, acting for the petitioner, appeared and said that, as the property has been disposed of and only £9 of the alienation-money remained in hand, the matter was not worth contesting. Petitioner did not personally appear, and the matter has been adjourned a great number of times. Dated the 12th day of September, 1921. For the Court. R. N. Jones, Chief Judge.
