With reference to my despatch, No. 218, of the 21st October, I have the honour to transmit to you the accompanying statement showing contributions by the Government and people of New Zealand to various war funds, which were remitted by telegraph on the 2nd instant to the High Commissioner for New Zealand in London for distribution. 2. The amounts shown on the statement do not include many other cash contributions which have been distributed other than through the High Commissioner, nor do they include the value of gifts in kind.
