NAVAL DEFENCE ACT, 1913. (REGULATIONS UNDER THE).
Presented to both Houses of the General Assembly in accordance ivith Subsection (3) of Section 25 of the Naval Defence Act, 1913.
Financial and Allowance Regulations under the Provisions of the Naval Defence Act, 1913. LIVERPOOL, Governor. ORDER IN COUNCIL. At the Government House at Wellington, this twentieth day of August, 1914. Present : His Excellency the Governor in Council. TITTHEREAS by the Naval Defence Act, 1913, it is enacted that the VV Governor may, by Order in Council gazetted, make regulations prescribing all matters which are necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving efiect to that Act: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him as aforesaid, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations with respect to the New Zealand Naval Forces, and declare that the same shall come into operation on and from the fifteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.
PAY AND ALLOWANCES FOR OFFICERS (SEA-GOING). 1. (i.) The rates of pay and allowances for commissioned and subordinate officers lent from the Royal Navy shall be same as at present obtaining in the Royal Navy, except in so far as additional emoluments shown in 1 (ii) afiect it.
