TUAKITOTO AND KaITANGATA LAKES AMENDMENT BILL. The Lands Committee, to which was referred tlie Tuakitoto and Kaitangata Lakes Amendment Bill, has the honour to report that it lias carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed as amended by the Local Bills Committee. 4th December, 1913.

Special Report (re Chairman). The Lands Committee desires to place on record its appreciation of the courtesy, tact, and the able manner which the Chairman, Mr. Edward Newman, presided over the deliberations of the Committee during the session. 9th December, 1913.

Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Bill. The Lands Committee, to which was referred the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed without amendment. 9th December, 1918.

Final Report. I have the honour to report that the Lands Committee has during the session held 31 meet-inns, of which members attended on the average of 24-8. The Committee consisted of 14 members, of whom 11 -3 attended each meeting. The number of petitions referred to the Committee was 26, the number of Bills 1 (J, and the number of papers 3, all of which have been reported to the House. 12th December, 1913.

. ■ Special Report (re Clerk). The Lands Committee desires to place on record its appreciation of the ability, care, and attention displayed by the Clerk, Mr. R. Parsons, in recording the proceedings oi the Committee, and has pleasure in recommending that his services be retained and that be be given permanent Government employment. 12th December, 1913.
