RAILWAYS STATEMENT BY THE MINISTER OF RAILWAYS, THE HON. W. H. HERRIES.

Mr. Speaker,— In presenting the Railways Statement for the year ending 31st March, 1912, I have pleasure in announcing that the results of the year's operations have been satisfactory. The earnings exceeded those of the preceding year by £182,327, and are the highest yet obtained in the history of the railways of the Dominion. The results may be summarized thus :— Year 1912.
