The Caledonian Society and the various spoils chilis have also made various improvements to the domain. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, I I acres plantation, pavilion, and conveniences. Used I'oi sports, cricket, Football, and general maintenance. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Extending the water supply, planting trues, and general maintenance. Dunedix Domain. Part of Dunediii Town Belt. Area, 52 acres and 6 perches. Work done during year: The building of the rock garden was completed, three new roseborders and other beds and borders were planted, manuka scrub cleared, and the arboretum extended; propagating-houses and heating-apparatus were altered, and two new frames built; a washhous,' was constructed at the watchman's residence, and one of the bridges across creek rebuilt. The Henry Matthews collection of native alpine plants was the chief addition to the gardens. A model school-garden was prepared For the Training College. Tt is proposed during the current year to erect a tea-kiosk, bridges, &C., form new beds and borders, clear scrub, and make new paths. Improvements now 071 domain: Superintendent's house, watchman's house, winter-garden, two propagating-houses, plant-frames, bush-house, fernery, tool-house, handrotunda, bridges, running-track, aviary, deer-pen, gates, seats, cloak room, summerhouse, rock garden, maze, plantations, flower beds and borders, potting-shed, and paths. Used as a botanic garden, and for cricket, football, sports, picnics, nnd band-concerts. The collection of native plants has been extended. Permanent labels have been placid on the exotic plants.
