Part of Dunediii Town Belt. Area, 52 acres and 6 perches. Work done during year: The building of the rock garden was completed, three new roseborders and other beds and borders were planted, manuka scrub cleared, and the arboretum extended; propagating-houses and heating-apparatus were altered, and two new frames built; a washhous,' was constructed at the watchman's residence, and one of the bridges across creek rebuilt. The Henry Matthews collection of native alpine plants was the chief addition to the gardens. A model school-garden was prepared For the Training College. Tt is proposed during the current year to erect a tea-kiosk, bridges, &C., form new beds and borders, clear scrub, and make new paths.
