No work was undertaken during the year, as the area was found to be unsuitable for recreation purposes, and another area has now been set aside as a domain Millerton Domain. Improvements now on domain : Seven-wire fence and plantation of ornamental trees and shrubs. Murchison Domain. Sections Nos. 18 and 20 (Square 170), Town of Murchison. Area, 27 acres 2 roods. Improvements now on domain : Grassing, fencing, felling, and stumping. Used for sports, picnics, and shows. Leased. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Further felling, stumping, ploughing, levelling, and grassing. Nelson Domain. Situated in City of Nelson. Area. 21 acres 3 roods 5 perches. Improvements now on domain : Fencing and planting. Used for general recreation. Puponga Domain. Sections Nos. 43, Port of Puponga, and 1, Village of Puponga. Area, 2 acres 1 rood 7 perches. This domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Nelson. Rabbit Island Domain. Area, 2,600 acres of Rabbit Island. About 500 trees were planted during the year. These were given by members of the Board and residents, who also assisted gratuitously to plant them. Improvements now on domain : House, stable, fencing, and plantation. Used for sports, picnics, and shooting meetings. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Planting trees and protecting same. Rbkfton Domain. Section No. 189 of Square 131, Block IX, Reefton Survey District. Area, 58 acres 2 roods 2 perches. Work done during year : Fencing. Improvements now on domain : Fencing. Used for sports and picnics. Leased. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Fencing and clearing. Wai-iti Domain. Part Section No. 156, Block XV, Wai-iti Survey District. Area, 6 acres. Work done during year : Trees planted and fenced off, trimming and digging round others, and dead trees removed and cut into firewood. Waiuta Domain. Section No. 87, Township of Blackwater. Area, 7 acres and 5 perches. The Board was appointed to have control of the domain on the Ist Xovember, 1911. Work done : Two acres grubbed and 1£ acres felled. Improvements now on domain : Felling and grubbing. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Clearing, burning, grassing, draining, and erecting buildings. Wakefield Domain. Sections Nos. 1 and 2. Block XVI, Wai-iti Survey District. Area, 5 acres 1 rood 368 perches Work done during year : Trees protected, hedges trimmed, and fallen trees removed. Improvements now on domain : Cricket-pitch, football-ground, cycling and running track, well and pump, footbridge, ornamental trees, and conveniences. Used for cricket, football, sports, and picnics. Wangapeka Domain. Section No. 31, Block XV, Wangapeka Survey District. Area. 13 acres 1 rood ."53 perches. Work done during year : Two acres ploughed, harrowed, and sown in grass, and fencing erected. A tennis building is also in course of erection, and will be completed during the ensuing year.
