Improvements now on domain : Five chains boundary-fence. Berwick Domain. Section No. 10, Block IX, Town of Berwick. Area, 4 acres. Work done during year : Shelter-shed erected. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, plantations, and shelter-shed. Used for sports, picnics, and grazing. Clinton Domain (Paht of). Section No. 1, Block XXVI, Town of Clinton. Area, 18 acres and 36 perches. Work done during year: Fences repaired and noxious weeds eradicated. Improvements now on domain : Grandstand, hedge, and fencing. Used for sports, football, cricket, military encampments, and general recreation. Seven acres leased Proposed operations for ensuing year: Eradicating noxious weeds. Clinton Domain (Part of). Section Xo. 82, Block XI, Pomahaka Survey District. Area, 132 acres. This portion of Clinton Domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Duneilin. No work has been undertaken. Clyde Domain Sections Nos. 38, 39, and 48, Block XI, and Blocks IV, V. VI, VII. LVI. ami LVII, Town of Clyde. Area, 63 acres 3 roods 2U5 perches. During the year the area used for recreation purposes was greatly improved; the water-service was extended, and about two hundred trees added to the existing plantation. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, two pavilions, plantation, and water-service. Used for sports, tennis, and football. Proposed operations for ensuing year': Planting trees. Cromwell Domain. Section No. I, Block XV, Town of Cromwell, and the Cromwell Town Belt. Area, 231 acres. During the year a Recreation-ground Improvement Committee raised the sum of £130, and expended it in building, tree-planting, fencing, and general improvements. The existing improvements have been maintained. Improvements now on domain: Trees, fencing, water-main. conveniences, and pavilion. The hitter was removed from the Record Reign Domain. Used for rifle shooting, and for football, cricket, and general recreation. Proposed operations for ensuing year ; Planting trees, extending the barrier against drifting sand, planting binding grass and plants, and generally improving the area. The work will be carried out in conjunction with the local Caledonian Society and Improvement Committee. Dunedin Domain. Part of Dunedin Town Belt. Area, 52 acres and 6 perches. Work done during year: Trees removed, ground trenched, and maze planted; rock-garden, shrubbery, borders, and rose-garden extended; paddock enclosed for deer; bush-house for wintering hard-wooded plants built, path and grassing renewed, new bridge erected, running-track formed, and water-service installed. Improvements now on domain: Superintendent's house, watchman's house, winter-garden, two propagating-houses, plant-frames, bush-house, fernery, tool-house, band-rotunda, three bridges, running-track, aviary, deer-pen, gates, Reats, cloak-room, summerhonse, rock-garden, maze, plantations, flower beds and borders, and potting-shed. Used as a botanic garden, and for cricket, football, sports, and picnics. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Extending rock-garden, erecting tea-kiosk, altering paths, and adding to rose-garden. The "collection of native plants has been extended. Permanent labels have been placed on the exotic plants, and it is hoped to label the native and alpine plants in a similar manner. The new water-suppiv has been a great success, and has enabled the Board to maintain the display of flowers right through the season. Dunstan Domain. Section No. 72, Block I, Leaning Rock Survey District. Area, 135 acres 3 roods 21 perches. Used for races. Duntroon Domain. Section No. 23, Block IV, Maruwenua Survey District. Area, 80 acres. Work done during year : Rabbits kept down, football-ground and sports-ring formed, fencing erected, trees planted, grass sown, and conveniences erected. Improvements now on domain : Rabbit-proof fencing around sports-ring, conveniences, and trees. Used as a rifle range and for sports, picnics, and grazing. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Keeping down rabbits and clearing gorse. Glenorcht Domain. Section No. 1, Block XX, Town of Glenorchy. Area, 23 acres and 37 perches. Improvements now on domain : Fencing. Used for sports. Portion leased. Proposed opera tions for ensuing year : Fencing and tree-planting.
