. Details of the members of the fund on 31st December, 1909, grouped according to their status, are given in the following tables : —

A. Total Number of Contributors who have joined and left the Fund since its Establishment (1st January, 1906, to 31st December, 1909).

B. Statement of Membership as from 1st January, 1906.

C. Statement of Contributors on the Register as at 31st December, 1909, grouped according to Rate of Contribution per Cent. of Salary.

From these tables it will be found that there was a net increase of membership of 221 during the year 1909. Those members who have elected to remain subject to the provisions of Part IX of the Education Act, 1908, are persons whose service or salary would not insure a retiringallowance exceeding the minimum allowance of £52 per annum provided for under that Act, and who otherwise desire to secure those benefits which it provides.
