Area, 1 acre 1 rood 14 perches. Work done during year: Noxious weeds eradicatcil. The Board paid half cost of boundaryfence erected. Improvements now on domain : Five chains boundary-fence. Berwick Domain. Section No. 10, Block IX, Town of Berwick. Area, 4 acres. Improvements now on domain : Plantation and fencing. Used for sports, picnics, and grazing. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Erecting a shelter-shed. Clinton Domain (Part op). Section No. 82, Block XI, Pomahaka Survey District. Area, 132 acres. This portion of Clinton Domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin, and is leased for grazing. Clinton Domain (Part of). Section No. 1, Block XXVI, Town of Clinton. Area, 18 acres and 36 perches. This portion of the Clinton Domain is administered by tlio Clinton Town Board as a Domain Board. Work done during year : Eight acres sown in turnips. Improvements now on domain : Grandstand, fences, and hedge. Used for cricket, football, and general recreation. Seven acres leased. Clyde Domain. Sections Nos. 38, 39, and 48, Block XI, and Blocks TV, V, VI, VII, LVI, and LVII, Town of Clyde. Area, f>3 acres 3 roods 21 "5 perches. Work done during ypnr: Plantation extended. Improvements now on domafn : Fencing, plantation, and water-service. Used for tennis, sports, cricket, golf, football, and general recreation. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Improving water-service and extending plantation. Cromwell Domain. Section No. 1, Block XV, Town of Cromwell, and the Cromwell Town Belt Area, 231 acres. Work done during ye.ir : Trees plnnted, snnd-bnrriers extended, and n new and larger re-erontion-ground formed. The latter work was carried nut in conjunction with the various sports bodies. Improvements now on domain : Trees and sand-barriers. Used for military manoeuvres and general recreation. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Planting trees, extending sandbarriers, and sowing binding-grass. A committee has been formed to make arrangements for the holding of a bazaar to raise funds for the works. Dunedin Domain. Part of Dunedin Town Belt. Area, 52 acres and 6 perches. Work done during year : Hnrdy fernery altered, extended, and roofed with manuka scrub, new flower beds find borders trenched nnd stocked, trees and shrubs planted out, iris and rose gardens extended, new bamboo and flax garden formed, water-service extended, and a row of frames placed in nursery. Improvements now on domain: Winter garden, Superintendent's and watchman's house, two propagating-houses with" frames, nursery, potting-shed, tool-shed, ladies' cloak-room, fernery, iron gates, three bridges, aviary, water-lily tank, three fences, rock garden, flower beds and borders, plantations, sents. and band-rotunda. Used as a botanic garden and for picnics, football, cricket, and bnnd concerts. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Clearing away trees and hedges and planting a maze with holly, erecting new bridge, extending rock garden, extending rose nnd herbaceous gardens, clearing gorse. broom, and elderberry, and extending water-supply to fernery. The gardens are still a great attraction, and the attendance of visitors has been well maintained. A display of 275 chrysanthemums grown in pots was greatly appreciated. The number of trees, shrubs, and plants in the nursery is 29,248. 52,717 seeds, bulbs, and plants have been sent out, and 5,752 received. Dunrobin Domain. Section No. 31, Block Vfll, Crookston Survey District. Area, 12 acres. Work done during year : Fences renewed, nnd domain sown down in grass Proposed operations for ensuing year : Draining.
