SETTLEMENT ON CROWN LANDS (RETURNS RELATIVE TO), FOR 1908 AND 1909.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 13th July, 1910. Ordered, "That there be laid before this House a return for each of the years 1908 and 1909 separately, and for each land district, showing—(l) The number of persons who secured sections of Crown lands; (2) the number of transfers applied for; (3) the number granted ; (4) the number of Crown tenants; (5) the number not residing on their sections; (6) how many are defaulters under the Land Aot in respect of residence conditions; and (7) how many have failed to effect the improvements required under the Act."—(Mr. Stallworthy.)

Return showing the Number of Persons who secured Sections of Crown Lands, the Number of Transfers applied for, the Number granted, the Total Number of Crown Tenants, the Number not residing on their Sections, the Number of Defaulters under the Land Act in respect of Residence Conditions, and the Number who have failed to effect the Improvements required under the Act.
