So. 748 (1907); —Petition of Tβ Rewatu Hiriako and 2 Others re Waiaraia and Umukaimata No. 4 Blocks. Phtitionekk pray for an inquiry into an alleged overlapping of the Waiaraia and Umukaimata No. 4 Blocks. I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that the petition be referred to the Government for consideration, with the view of compensating the Natives either with land or with money. 4th August, 1908.

No. 75 (1908). —Petition of Mere Matene Nutira and Others re Taumutu Native Reserve. Petitioners ask for rehearing of an application made by the Public Trustee at the Native Land Court, held at Leeston in November, 1906, affecting their interests in 700 acres of land, situated on the borders of Lake Ellesmere, for the purpose of having the shares of petitioners in said land equalised and readjusted. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make 4th August, 1908.

No. 792 (1907). — Petition of Merea Wikiriwhi re Ngatikoi, Section Iα, Block 16. Be a block of land in the Ohinemuri District, containing 79 acres 3 roods, partition of which was made by the Native Land Court in May, 1896. This is alleged not to be right, and it is asked that the said partition be set aside, and that a second hearing of the application for partition be granted. ■ I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. • 4th August, 1908.
