I have the honour, by direction of the Mackenzie County Council, to furnish you with the following copy of a resolution which was passed by the Council at its last meeting, held on the 6th instant, viz. : " That this Council desires to place on record its sincere regret at the loss sustained by the colony by the death of the late Premier, the Right Hon. R. J. Seddon, and to indorse the expression of sympathy forwarded by the Chairman on behalf of the Council and inhabitants of the Mackenzie County." I have, Ace., The Hon. the Premier, Wellington. R.
