Reserves Nos. 3177, Block XIX, and 3241, Block XVI, Lowry Peaks Survey District. Area, 20 acres and 38 perches. Two rows of trees were planted along the south side and fenced off during the year. Improvements now on domain: Pavilion, fences, gates, plantation, tennis-lawn, bowling-green, and cottage. Used for picnics, sports, bowls, tennis, football, hockey, and other sports. Ealing Domain. Reserve No. 3112, Rangitata Survey District. Area, 10 acres. The domain is now fenced. Eight acres has been planted, and the trees are growing well. It is not used by the public. Ellesmere Domain. Reserve No. 1630, Ellesmere Survey District. Area, 213 acres. Work done during year : Grandstand and buildings enlarged, and picket fences improved and painted. Improvements now on domain : Grandstand, dressing-rooms and conveniences, fences, hedges and plantation, windmill, and water-supply. Used for races sports, military encampments! and picnics. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Tree-planting, erection of horserails and water-trough. Fairlie Domain. Reserve No. 2755, Tengawai Survey District. Area, 29 acres 2 roods. Twenty-five acres leased. Further protective works (willow) were made during year to prevent encroachment of Opihi River, the work already done being satisfactory. New fences were Irected Improvements now on domain: Ninety-five chains fences, 24 chains protective works willow), swimming-pond, and plantation. Used for general recreation purposes. It is proposed to proceed with protective works during the ensuing year. Geraldine Domain. Reserves Nos 305 306, 1624, and 2176, Town of Geraldine. Area, 105 acres 1 rood 21 perches. Twenty-three acres leased. Work done during year : General maintenance under the supervision of the caretaker. Improvements now on domain: Fences, iron gates, pavihon sw.mmingbaths plantations, flower-beds, cricket-ground, and bicycle-track. Used for sports, cricket, lolball tennis, and picnics. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Repairs to fences, and eradication of noxious weeds. Glentunnel Domain. Reserve No. 2407, Hororata Survey District. Area, 100 acres. Work done during year: Tracks improved, belt of trees planted, handrails erected, and drains constructed Improvements now on domain : Belts of trees and ornamental shrubs pump drains, seats gates mi fences. Used for football, cricket, .ports, and picnics. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Further tree-planting, and erection of seats and fences. Governor's Bat Domain. Reserve No 3060, Block VII, Halswell Survey District. Area, 6 acres 2 roods 3 perches. ■ Work done during year: Drains constructed, new entrance-gates erected, and 400-gallon tank put in position. Improvements now on domain : Public hall, dwelhnghouse, stables, harnessoom and store room, plantation, drains, and 30 chains fences. Used + for panics sports, &c ; public hail for meetings and entertainments. During the coming year it is proposed to paint the buildings.
