A BILL INTITULED An Act to amend " The Factories Act, 1901." Title. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as 5 follows: — 1. The Short Title of this Act is "The Factories Act 1901 short Title. Amendment Act, 1905." 2. Section thirty-one of "The Factories Act, 1901," is hereby Seotion3iof amended by the addition of the following paragraph : — mov'"mended 10 " (8.) Every person of the age of twenty years or over who is employed in any eapaoity-ia-a-iaetefy- has been employed in any capacity in a factory or factories for a period of not less than four years shall be entitled to receive from the occupier payment for the work at such rate as is agreed 15 on, being in no case less than seventeen shillings per week."
