Lawrence, Saturday, 25th March, 1905. The Commission met at 10 a.m. The following witnesses were heard: Messrs. Fraser, Robertson, Edie, Bulfin, and O'Neil (Crown Ranger). Before the examination of the last witness it was moved by Mr. McCardle, seconded by Mr. Matheson, and carried, That preference be given to other witnesses. The Chairman accordingly invited other witnesses, and there was no response. The Commission adjourned at 2.40, and proceeded to Dunedin.

Dunedin, Monday, 27th March, 1905. On the way to Dunedin on the 25th the Commission was met at Milton by the Mayor of the Borough, with his Council and some local notabilities, warmly welcomed, and cordially entertained. On the 27th they met in Dunedin at 10 a.m. Present: All the Commissioners. The following witnesses were heard: Messrs. Scott and Cotton. Requests were directed to be sent to the following: Messrs. Haycock, Todd, Lethbridge, Stevens, and McCurdie, to attend and give evidence at the next day's sitting of the Commission. Correspondence was dealt with in committee. The Commission adjourned a* 4 p.m. Dunedin, Tuesday, 28th March, 1905. The Commission met at 10 a.m. Present: All the Commissioners. The following witnesses were heard : Messrs. Roberts, Barclay, Ferguson, Lethbridge, Bell, and Craig. The Commission adjourned at 4.50 p.m. Palmerston, Wednesday, 29th March, 1905. The Commission met at 10.30 a.m. Present: All the Commissioners except Messrs. McLennan and Johnston, absent on leave. The following witnesses were heard : Messrs. Clarke, Heckler, McGregor, E. Clarke, Duncan, E. H. Clarke, Ross, and D. Ross. The Commission adjourned at 3 p.m., and proceeded to Oamaru. Windsor, Thursday, 30th March, 1905. The Commission, after driving through the Ellerslie and Windsor Park Estates, met at Windsor at 10.35 a.m. , The following witnesses were heard : Messrs. Don, McCallum, McCrae, Bates, bteeie, Davis, Lomptone, and O'Connor. The Commission adjourned at 1 p.m., and drove on to Ngapara. Ngapara, Thursday, 30th March, 1905. The Commission met at 3.30 p.m. Present: All the Commissioners. The minutes of the meetings at Palmerston and Windsor were read and confirmed. Correspondence was dealt with in committee. '_ The following witnesses were heard : Messrs. Smith, Kidd, King, McMurtrie, and Banon. The Commission adjourned at 6 p.m. Tokarahi, Friday, 31st March, 1905. The Commission left Ngapara at 9 a.m., drove round the Elephant Cliff and Tokarahi Downs, and met at Tokarahi at 11.30. The following witnesses were heard: Messrs. Dagler, Beck, Porter, De Huguas, Evans, and McGradie. The Commission adjourned at 3.35 p.m.

DuNBDiN, Tuesday, 28th March, 1905. The Commission met at 10 a.m. Present: All the Commissioners. The following witnesses were heard : Messrs. Roberts, Barclay, Ferguson, Lethbridge, Bell, and Craig. The Commission adjourned at 4.50 p.m.
