Tβ Aroha Hot Springs Domain, Auckland Land District. Sections Nos. 15 and 16, Block IX., Aroha Survey District. Area, 66 acres. This domain is under the control of the Tourist Department. During the year improvements have been effected to the grounds and buildings. The domain now contains houses, fences, croquet and tennis lawns, bowling-green, flower-beds, and baths, and is used as a health and pleasure resort Te Awamutu Domain, Auckland Land District. Sections Nos. 20, 21, 23, 24, and 25, Town of Te Awamutu. Area, 18 acres and 11 perches. Leased on improvement conditions. Improvements now on domain: Forty chains fences, grassing, and plantation of ornamental trees. Not used by the public. Templeton Domain, Canterbury Land District. Reserves Nos. 2351 and 2418, Christchurch Survey District. Area, 229 acres. Work done during year: Erection of fences. Improvements now on domain : Fences and plantation. Used for cricket, picnics, and sports. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Gorsegrubbing, erection of fences, and general maintenance. Temuka Domain, Canterbury Land District. Reserves Nos. 307, Town of Aiowhenua, and 1561, Opihi Survey District. Area, 183 acres. Work done during year ; New entrance formed, and Troopers' Memorial Gate erected, trees planted, fences erected, 197 cords of firewood cut, and cycling-track improved. Improvements now on domain: Boundary-fences with gorse hedges, six iron wicket gates, four double gates for vehicles (one of wood and three of iron), caretaker's cottage, pavilion, shed, cloak-room, and conveniences, two tennis-courts, cycling-track of asphalt, and 25 acres plantation. Used for picnics, sports, and general recreation. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Maintenance. Te Ngutu o te Manu Domain, Taranaki Land District. Section No. 40, Block XVI., Kaupokonui Survey District. Area, 50 acres. Work done during year: Erection of iron picket fences in concrete foundation around Von Tempsky's Monument, large gate, turnstile, 4 chains wire fencing, Improvements now on domain: Thirty-four chains hedges, 25 chains sheep-proof fences, caretaker's cottage, seats, large iron gates, one wooden gate, three small gates, turnstile, dam and pond, plantation, monument, and 4 acres native bush. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Painting and varnishing monument, painting cottage and gates ,and tree-planting. Te Puke Domain, Auckland Land District. Section No. 50, Block 11., Maketu Survey District. Area, 13 acres 3 roods 4 perches. Work done during year: Gorse-grubbing, and repairs to fences. Improvements now on domain: Fences, three tennis-courts, and belt of trees around boundary. Used for Volunteer camps, sports, and cricket. Timaru Domain, Canterbury Land District. Part of Reserve No. 102, Suburbs of Timaru. Area, 8 acres 1 rood 18 perches. Leased to South Canterbury Caledonian Society. Improvements now on domain: Iron fence on three sides, plantation, oval sports-ground, bicycle-track, caretaker's cottage, enclosures, &c. Used for sports and band contests. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Erection of grandstand. Tinwald Domain, Canterbury Land District. Reserve No. 350, Block XVI., Westerfield Survey District. Area, 230 acres. Work done during year : Improvement to intake of lake, construction of fords across waterrace, eradication of noxious weeds, and tree-planting. Some ducks and swans were placed on the lake during the year. Improvements now on domain : Fences, drain, grandstand, booth, offices, and plantations. Used for sports, picnics and races. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Removal of Finns insignia trees, and planting exotic trees, erection of building on cricket-ground, re-forming of drives, erection of fences, and further eradication of noxious weeds. Tokanui Domain, Southland Land District. Section No. 15, Block 11., Town of Tokanui. Area, 3 acres 1 rood 4 perches. No improvements effected. It is proposed to fence the area and lease it on improvement conditions. Tokomairiro Domain, Otago Land District. Parts of Sections Nos. 103 and 104, Block XII., Tokomairiro Survey District. Area, 59 acres 2 roods 30 perches. Improvements now on domain: Plantations, pavilion, fences, and drains. Used for football cricket Panics! and general recreation. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Tree-planting and construction of drains.
