CANDLE-FACTORIES IN THE COLONY (PARTICULARS RELATIVE TO).
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives, Tuesday, 28th day of August, 1900. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House, as soon as convenient, a return showing,—(l) The number of o andle-factories registered in New Zealand ; (2) the number of employes, stating sexes and ages; and (3) the maximum and minimum wages paid to workers exclusively engaged in candle-making : the return to be the certified list for the year ended 31st March, 3900."—(Mr. McLachlan.)
