I have the honour to acquaint you that an application has been received from the Belgian Charge d'Affaires at this Court for the issue of an exequatur to enable Mr. J. Burns to act as Consul of Belgium at Auckland. In reply to your despatch (No. 72) of the 3rd ultimo, I have the honour to inform you that Her Majesty the Queen has been graciously pleased to approve the grant of the title " Eoyal " to the proposed Humane Society of New Zealand. 2.
