Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the Ist August, 1899. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing,—(l) The number of sheep, cattle, and swine slaughtered for home consumption during the year ending 1898-99 ; and (2) the number of sheep, cattle, and swine slaughtered for export during the same period, giving separate numbers in eaoh case."—(Mr. Flatman,)
