The Chaikman of the College to the Hon. the Minister of Education. Sib, — University College, Auckland, Bth May, 1899. In pursuance of section 25 of " The Auckland University College Act, 1882," the Council has the honour of making the following report : — 1. The number of persons who attended lectures in this College in 1898 was 211 : Graduates, 10 (males, 8; females, 2); undergraduates, 87 (males, 67; females, 20); non-matriculated, 114 (males, 52; females, 62). There were also 25 students examined, who were exempted from attendance at lectures, but of these 5 did attend lectures more or less, so that the total number of students was 231.
