1898. NEW ZEALAND.

CEREALS IMPORTED INTO NEW ZEALAND AND NEW SOUTH WALES FROM CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES (RETURN OF).

R e ( Um fa an Order of the House of Representatives dated the sth day of July, 1898. Ordered, " That a return be furnished to this House showing— (a) The quantity and value of wheat, barley, and flour carried by the Fr'isoo mail-steamers from Amerioa to New Zealand during the last two years; (6) the quantity and value of wheat, barley, oats, and flour carried by the Frisco mail-steamers from America to New South Wales during tbe same period ; (c) the same information concerning the Vancouver steamers from Canada since the commencement of the service ; (d) such information as is not obtainable in the New Zealand Customs Department to furnish replies to the above to be got from the New South Wales Customs Department; (c) the return to show, so far as New Zealand is concerned, the names of the consignees in each instance ; (/) a return of the wheat, oats, barley, and flour, and the value of same, imported to New Zealand from Australia or New Caledonia during the last two years, the ports landed at, and the names of the consignees."—(Hon.
