TIMBER SHIPPED BY S.S. "MAMARI" TO ENGLAND. (DETAILS OF ACCOUNT SALES.)

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 6th September, 1895. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing the amount realised from the sale of timber shipped by the Government to England, per the s.s. ' Mamari,' in January last, the return to show in detail— (1) Each class -of timber separately ; (2) the price paid per 100 superficial feet, f.0.b., New Zealand; (3) the price realised per 100 superficial feet in England; (4) expenses, including freight, insurance, and all charges upon each lot; (5) the net price realised per 100 superficial feet; and (6) if any of the shipment remains unsold; if so, what class, and reason why."—(Hon. Mr. Mitchelson.)

Amount realised from the Sale of Timber shipped by the Government to England, per the s.s. " Mamari," in January last: £795 13s. Bd. net. The gross amount realised was £850 3s. 3d. (1.) Each class of timber separately : All first-class kauri. (2.) The price paid per 100 superficial feet, f.0.b., New Zealand : 10s. IOJd. (3.) The price realised per 100 superficial feet in England : 16s. lljd. (4.) Expenses, including freight, insurance, and all charges upon each lot: £531 7s. Bd.* (5.) The net price realised per 100 superficial feet: 15s. IOJd. (6.) If any of the shipment remains unsold; and, if so, what class, and reason why : The timber was all sold. & s. a. £ s. a.
