HILLSIDE RAILWAY WORKSHOPS: NUMBER OF WORKING DAYS, HOLIDAYS, DAYS OF ENFORCED IDLENESS, AND HOURS WORKED PER WEEK, FOR THE YEARS 1892-95.
Return to an Order of the House, of Representatives dated the sth July, 1895. Ordered, " That a Return be laid upon the table showing—(l) The number of ordinary working-days; (2) the number of statutory holidays; (3) the number of hours of enforced idleness; and (4) the average number of hours worked per week of all railway employes at the Railway Workshops, Hillside, near Dunedin, during the last three financial years."—(Mr. Eaknshaw.)
