THE GOVERNMENT LOANS TO LOCAL BODIES ACT AMENDMENT ACT, 1891; THE LAND FOR SETTLEMENTS ACT, 1892; THE NATIVE LAND PURCHASES ACT, 1892; AND THE CHEVIOT ESTATE PAYMENT ACT, 1893 (RETURN SHOWING THE AMOUNTS RAISED AND EXPENDED UNDER).

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated 25th July, 1894. Ordered "That a return showing the amount which—under (1) 'The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment' Act, 1891'; (2) 'The Land for Settlements Act, 1892'; (3) 'The Native Land Purchases Act, 1892'; (41 ' The Cheviot Estate Payment Act, 1893 '—had, in each of the financial years since the coming into operation of the above-mentioned Acts respectively, (a) been raised, and (ft) been expended; and what amounts have been (a) raised and (ft) expended thereunder between the 31st March, 1894, and the 30th June, 1894 ; and what amounts have, up to'the last-mentioned date, been placed to the credit of each of the accounts kept under such Acts. —(Mr. G.
