Return to an Order of the House of Bepresentatives dated 3rd July, 1894. Ordered, "That a return be laid before this House showing—(l) the number of judgment summonses issued in each provincial district in each year for the last three years ; (2) the number of orders made under such summonses ; (3) the number of commitments to prison ; (4) che period of each incarceration ; (5) the amount of debt involved in each case."—(Mr. Maslin.)
