CIVIL SERVICE: TEMPORARY CLERKS AND CADETS. (DETAILS OF APPOINTMENTS MADE FOR 1887-88, 1890-91, AND 1893-94.)

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives, dated 12th September, 1894. Ordered, " That a return be laid before this House showing—(l) The number of extra or temporary clerks employed in each department of the Government during the financial years 1887-88, 1890-91, 1893-94; (2; the number of such clerks now employed who have been more than two years in the Service ; (3) the number of experts appointed during the year ended 31st March, 1894, specifying the departments in which appointed; and (4) the number of cadets appointed during the financial years mentioned in the margin (1887-88,1890-91,1893-94), specifying the departments in which appointed."—(Hon.
