SAN FRANCISCO AND DIRECT MAIL SERVICES (COMPARATIVE RETURNS RELATIVE TO THE).
Returns to Orders of the House of Representatives, dated 29th June, 1888 (Hon Sir J Hall) and 11th July, 1888 (Mr. Peacock).
Return to Order of 29th June, 1888 (Sir J. Hall). Return showing the Total Sums paid by New Zealand for the Conveyance of its Mails via San Francisco, and the Total Amount received in Postages on Mail Matter contained in such Mails, during the Year ended 31st December, 1887.
Estimated Sum which would have been paid for the Conveyance of such Mails if they had been sent and received by Direct Steamers to and from the United Kingdom on the Terms of the existing Contract with the New Zealand Shipping Company.
