APPENDIX C. Si*,— Wellington, sth June, 1883. I have the honour to inform you that, in accordance with your instructions, I audited the library accounts for the year ending the 31st March, 1883. The accounts were correct, with two exceptions: viz., Voucher No. 33, though in the Bankbook as paid, was at that time in America to be receipted; it is now with the accounts. There was also a sum of £5 due to the Library Fund on account of imprest for stamps. The balance in the Bank-book at the date of my audit on the 18th April, 1883, was £553 10s. sd.
