Popular Lectures.—It is with pleasure the Council reports that the popular courses of lectures on Botany, Chemistry, and Physiology given by the Professors of those subjects were largely attended, and especially by teachers of the primary schools. Loan.—The loan of £15,000 authorized last year has been obtained on advantageous terms.
