The Secretary to the Education Board, . i hate the honour, by direction of the Minister of Education, to advise you that, considering that the grants made to Education Boards for buildings are derived from a loan raised for purposes of public buildings, the Government does not approve of the practice, which some of the Boards have adopted, of paying out of sums received on account of such grants the rents of school-buildings, or allowances toteachers as rent, or premiums for fire insurance, or bank interest.
