No. 1. Mr. "W. L. "Williams to the Under Secretary, Native Department. Sir,— Gisborne, 27th April, 1878. In answer to yours of the 11th instant, I have the honor to enclose herewith a copy of the accounts of the receipts and expenditure of the funds arising from the Waerengahika Native School Trust for the year ending 30th June, 1877, that being the date to which all our Church accounts are made up for the information of the Diocesan and General Synods. No. 2. The Bishop of Wellington to the Under Secretary, Native Department. Sib,— "Wellington, 17th June, 1878. I have the honor to forward to you the accounts connected with the Native School Estates to 31st December, 1577, for which you applied in your letters to the Trustees, dated 11th April, 1878. The Otaki balance is continued from one given at page 46 of " Journals and Appendix, Legislative Council, 1875." I have, &c, Henry Clarke, Esq., Under Secretary, Native Office. O. Wellington.
