Tabular Statements are herewith attached, showing — 1. The Number of Registered and Unregistered Societies respectively, known to exist in the Colony, and giving a general view of the extent to which tho statistical information asked for by the Government has been supplied by them. 2. The Number of Members, and the Sickness, Mortality, &c, during the Year 1876, in 140 Friendly Societies in the Colony of New Zealand. 3. A Statement for tho Year 1876 of the Benefit Funds of all Friendly Societies included iv Table 11. 4. A Statement for the Year 1876 of the Management Funds of all Friendly Societies included in Table 11. 5. The Assets and Liabilities at the close of the Year 1876, of all Friendly Societies included in Table 11. 6. Comparative Return deduced from Tables 11., 111., IV., and V., of tho Experience, during 1870, of the Four Principal Orders of Friendly Societies in the Colony.
The following is a list of Registrations, Amalgamations, Amendments, and Dissolutions, notified at the Office of The Registrar of Friendly Societies, viz., — Newly Registered. Primitive Methodist Aid Society, No. 1, of New Zealand, Dunedin. Amalgamated. Loyal Effort Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U. (Greytown), with Loyal Unity Lodge (Featherston Unregistered), under the name of the latter. Loyal Prince Alfred Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U. (Hokitika), with Loyal Hokitika Ledge (Registered), under the name of the latter. Loyal Hand of Friendship Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U. (Greymouth), with Loyal Greymouth Lodge (Registered), under the name of the latter. Dissolved. Widow and Orphan Society, 1.0.0. F., M.U., Dunedin. Amended By-law.
