Russell Present boundary does not follow Mr. Bousficld's lines. Begs be inquired into. That the interest of Arihi and her husband was sold by them and their trustees Messrs. Wilson and T. P. Russell, to complainants for £2,500; that the purchase was subject to conditions which were repudiated by the vendors, who sold again, one of the purchasers being the Hon. H. R. Russell the brother of one of the trustees ; that, before the second sale was completed, a transfer or sale was offered to complainants for £1,000 (one thousand) more than the price that said purchasers were to pay to Arihi and her husband, of which fact their trustees, Messrs. Wilson and T. P. Russell, were aware, and which terms complainants were compelled to accept to complete their title, the Hon. H. R. Russell receiving £500 by the transaction. Complainants ask for full inquiry into the case, with a view to the first sale being enforced, according to equity and good conscience and tho £1,000 overcharged being returned. Complains of the conduct of the grantees and the Government in tho alienation of this land, without the sanction of the hapu, who havo received no part of the price, and bavo been deprived of a valuable block of land without any consideration so far as they are concerned Never consented to sell for £120.
