Warden and Inspector Robertson resigned on the 30th November, 1865, and Warden and Inspector Kennedy has been employed on special-service, in command of Government steam vessel " St. Kilda," from the same date. The travelling expenses are almost wholly incurred by officers on survey duty, the ports from which steam vessels ply having to be visited for that purpose every three months.
