Noxe,—The Acreage of the blocks purchased prior toJOth June, 1856, is not shown in this return; the total number of Acres shown are those for which the negotiations have been entered into since the 80th June, 185 G. The total payments shown in the return after deducting the Credit on " Arrear Account" (£12,735) allowed by the House of Representatives, do not exhibit the whole cost of the Acres shown, as in many instances the payments are but instalments upon large blocks, the final price of which is not yet fixed.
