ORDERS OF REFERENCE Extracts from the Journals of the' House of Representatives Wednesday, the 12th Day oe July, 1950 Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to consider all matters relating to public health, infectious diseases, contagious diseases, hospitals, and to local authorities having charge of these matters, and to other matters affecting public health which may be referred to it: the Committee to consist of Mr. Aderman, Mr. Anderton, Mr. Hayman, Miss Howard, Mr. Keeling, Mr. Kidd, Mr. Osborne, the Hon. Mrs. Ross, Mr. Tennent, and the Mover."—(Hon. Mr. Watts.) Ordered, " That'all petitions not finally dealt with during the session of 1949 be again referred to the same Committees as they were referred to during the said session."—(Right Hon. Mr. Holland.) Tuesday, the Ist Day oe August, 1950 Ordered, " That the Tuberculosis Amendment Bill be referred to the Public Health Committee."— (Hon. Mr. Watts.) Wednesday, the 6th Day of September, 1950 Ordered, " That the Public Health Committee have leave to sit during the present sitting of the House."—(Mr, Aderman.)

REPORTS Tuberculosis Amendment Bill I have the honour to report that the Public Health Committee has carefully considered the Tuberculosis Amendment Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the amendment shown in the copy of the Bill hereto annexed. 24th August, 1950. No. 20 —Petition of United New Zealand Dental Laboratories Association, Incorporated Praying for amendment to the Dentists Act, 1936, provision for the education and registration of dental technicians, and the registration of dental laboratories. lam directed to report that the Committee has carefully considered the petition, and recommends that it be referred to the Government for consideration. E. P. Aderman, Chairman. 21st September, 1950. No. 26—Petition of J. L. T. Revfy Praying for registration as a fully-qualified medical practitioner. I have the honour to report that the Committee has carefully considered this petition, and has no recommendation to make. D, C. Kidd, for Chairman. 12th October, 1950.
