DEPARTMENT OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS
(a) New Zealand's contribution to the expenses of the Secretariat amounts to $2,200 out of a total budget of $76,050. The division of expenses is proportioned according to each country's share of the total external trade of the contracting parties. (b) The contribution to the funds of the International Red Cross Committee still has need of support for both relief work and the revision of conventions relating to the protection of war victims. (c) £44,500 provided on main estimates. (d) An addendum to the annual administrative budget of the South Pacific Commission amounting to £(5tg.)28,785 has been approved. New Zealand's proportion of the budget is 15 per cent., and payment is made in Australian currency.
