Final Report. T have the honour to report that the Native Affairs Committee held its final meeting on Thursday, the 2nd day of February, 1922. During the session the Committee met on 44 occasions, with an average attendance of 8. Including 77 petitions brought forward from the session of 1920, and 11 from the first session of 1921, the Committee had before it 173 petitions. Of these petitions 112 were considered and reported upon, and the remaining 61 are held over until next session. With regard to 28 petitions the Committee recommended that they be referred to the Government as follows : 4 for favourable consideration, 16 for inquiry, and 8 for consideration. With regard to 2 petitions the Committee recommended that they be referred to the Hon. the Native Minister. Upon 64 petitions the Committee had no recommendation to make, and 18 petitions were withdrawn.
