Copyright) (Received Sept. r», t p.m.) w * SYDNEY, Sept. 5 Darby Munro has been engaged to ride Shannon in the Epsom Handicap, it was earlier reported that Munro would ride sleepy Fox In the big mile race. Bayly Payton, trainer of sleepy Fox, said Munro's acceptance of the Shannon mount should not be interpreted as an indication that the New Zealand champion would not run. Munro is the leading rider for the Payten stablp and it was generally assumed he would ride Sleepy Kox in the Epsom should that gelding start. Payten said, however, that Munro was Tree to choose from the mounts offered him. Payten added that he expected Munro to ride Sleepy Fox In the Chelmsford Stakes next Saturday. “ Should It be decided to start Sleepv Fox in the Epsom I’ve no doubt we will be able to get a suitable Jockey,” he said.

The New visitors Immediate and High Play were exercised at Randwick yesterday. Both have engagements for the Rosehill Club's meeting on September 15. Immediate in the Camelia Stakes and High Play in the Highweight Handicap.
