WOMAN DIES OF STARVATION (Received July 22. 1 p.m.) ADELAIDE, July 12 A woman who seven months ago willed herself to death, died yesterday from starvation. She was a 50-year-old spinster whose death was investigated by the police on behalf of tfie city coroner. The police were told that at the end of last year the spinster went to bed and refused pleas by her sister to get up. The police tried to persuade her to get up but she said she “intended to stay in bed until the Lord called her.” In recent weeks she became so weak that she was unable to eat. She final became semiconscious and died last night. It was decided that an inquest waa unnecessary.
