FIRM MARKET
The auctioneers report on the Morrinsvllle sale yesterday as follows: A small yarding of fat sheep sold under steady competition at prices fully on a par with those ruling at the central yards. A medium entry of boner cows and potter bulls was offered, competition being free with prices well up to the rates ruling before the holidays. Dairy cattle were penned in small numbers. Competition was not keen and values were below those ruling before the holidays. A full yarding of fat pigs was penned. Values for baconers were fully firm while prices for buttermilk pigs were a shade firmer. Store pigs elicited keen competition and very firm rates were obtained.
