VALUES FOR DAIRIES ADVANCE The auctioneers report as follows on the Morrinsville stock sale on Friday: A larger yarding of fat sheep was penned, prices realised being on a par with those ruling at recent sales. Cattle. —A medium entry of fat cows sold on a par with recent sales. Boner and store cows were penned in full numbers and values were unchanged. A good offering of Jersey heifers was again in strong demand and values remained firm. Dairies: A medium yarning of aa»rv ca r « wps nenned. Competition was keen and prices were considerably in advance ox ir.ose ruling last week. Pigs.—A full yarding of all classes of pigs came forward, baconers and buttermilk pigs remaining firm at recent quotations. Store and weaner pigs were also in demand, a good sale resulting. Quotations:— Sheep.—Medium fat wethers. 33s to 345; light, 30s 9d to 32s 6d; heavy fat ewes, 25s to 265; medium. 22s to 23s 9d: light 19s to 21s; medium shorn fat ewes. I4s 6d to 16s 4d; light, 12s 6d to 13s 6d; heavy fat woolly hoggets. 27s 6d to 29s 4d; medium, 24s 6d to 26s 6d; light. 22s to 23s 6d. Cattle.—Fat cows. £7 10s to £8; medium fat Jersey cows and heifers. £5 to £6 15s; boner cows, £4 to £5 15s; store cows. £2 15s to £3 10s; empty 2-year Jersey heifers. £3 10s to £4 18s; good ouality yearling Jersey heifers. £7 10s to £8: medium. £6 to £6 9s. Dairies: Best springing heifers. £l6 to £lB 10s; good heifers in milk. £l3 10s to £l4 10s; good springing heifers. £l4 to £ls; medium, £l2 to £l3 10s; small. £9 to £ll.
