THIEF DISAPPOINTED

SHOP ENTERED BY NIGHT A thief broke into the general grocery store of Mr R. A. Pascoe, near the approach to the Fairfield bridge last night. Entry to* the premises was gained by smashing the glass panel of the front door, but the thief was disappointed in his apparent search for money as none is kept in the shop overnight by Mr Pascoe, a returned serviceman of the present war,' who opened the shop only a fortnight ago.
