HIGH PRICED COW
GOO GUINEAS FOR JERSEY The highest price paid for a New Zealand-bred Jersey cow in the Dominion for many years was given today at a reduction sale of the Tolgarth Jersey Stud, the property of Messrs H. H. Sutton and Sons, Tauwhare, today, when the 4-year-old cow Tolgarth Illusion sold to a bici of 600 guineas. The buyer was Mr Walker, of Victoria, Australia. Tolgarth Illusion was a particularly well-bred female of outstanding type, being placed first for type in the Waikato Jersey Oaks at the Waikato Summer Show.
The auctioneers were the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited.
