SHOT WITH REVOLVER POLICE RUSH A HOUSE

(By Teiegrantv—Pre%« Association) PAHIATUA, Tuesday A shooting affray occurred at Pori, 20 miles from Pahiatua, yesterday afternoon, when Mr Godfrey Neville Green was shot in the left arm and the left side of the chest with a revolver. The police and a (Tbctor were summoned from Pahiatua and investigations made. Later the police inspector at Palmerston North was advised and a party of police was despatched from there last night. The home of William Robert Alfred Hollis, farm manager, of Pori, was surrounded and the police rushed it. at dawn this morning to Find Hollis in bed. He was brought to Pahiatua this morning and charged in the Police Court before justices with attempted murder. He was remanded for seven days to appear at Palmerston North. Mr Green’s condition is not regarded as serious and he will be taken today into the Masterton Hospital for an X-ray examination.
