FASCISTS SENTENCED
LEADER OF GANG TO DIE
(Received Jan. 18, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 17 An Allied military tribunal sentenced to death Salvatore Bramante, aged 24, leader of a gang of which 14 men and one woman were arrested at Trapani for plotting to revive Fascism in Italy, says Reuter’s Algiers correspondent. Bramante was charged with possessing an automatic pistol and ammunition, with damaging communication lines and attending meetings of the Fascist Party after the Allied landing. The woman, Maria Dali, convicted of taking the oath of the Fascist Party, was sentenced to 12 months’ iirfprisonment. Other sentences ranged 'from 12 months to seven years’ imprisonment.
