Mr J. J. O’Dear, of Auckland, is visiting Hamilton. Mr E. Fleming, of Auckland, is a visitor to Hamilton. Mr R. Hogg, of Palmerston North, Is in Hamilton. Mr J. W. Macdonald, Commissioner of the Government Life Insurance Department, is visiting Hamilton. The Hon. W. Lee Martin, who is in . the Waikato Hospital suffering from pneumonia, was reported this morning to have shown a slight improvement in his condition. Mr N. E. Higgs, general manager for the De Havillanct Corporation at Wellington, is in Hamilton today. Mr Higgs is visiting the various Royal New Zealand Air Force stations in tne Waikato. Major-General R. P. PakenhamWalsh, Major Sir Thomas Bemev. Mi 1. F. L. Eilictt and Mr F. H. Harrison, members of the Eastern Group Supply Council, have returned to Auckland from Wellington. Mr C. A. Condie. telegraph superintendent at the chiei post office, Auckland, for 16 months, has been appointed chief postmaster at Gisborne. Before going to Auckland, Mr Condie was in Christchurch for 11 years. Mr H. O. Houchen, chief engineer of Tasman Empire Airways, Limited, since the inception of the service, resigned in order to accept a position with the British Overseas Airways Corporation in England. He will be succeeded bv Mr G. B. Bolt.
